Recent projects for the Supply Chain and Logistics communities have included:
• A project to further globalize and optimize the supply chain for a leading generics manufacturer including
the definition of the operating model, organization and processes. The aim was to set-up a fully
transparent and integrated global supply chain reflecting in-house as well as contract manufacturing
facilities. Lodestone was the global delivery partner from design to implementation of the solution.
• A program to develop and roll-out a SAP-based supply chain solution for a key player in the global
automotive business. The main objective was to standardize parts business processes, to minimize
operational risk by implementing new and easy to maintain systems, to achieve better transparency of
demand and inventory across the supply chain network, and to optimize the distribution network. The
solution includes supply chain planning, supply chain execution, warehouse management and finance &
controlling.
• A program to deploy a global batch tracing solution for one of the world’s leading companies in the Life
Science industry. The objective of the program was to implement a best-practice business process
framework to allow quick retrieval of critical data for authorities in case of quality issues, enabled by
a central batch data repository. The final solution integrated data from all manufacturing sites, distribution
centers, 3rd party service providers (3PL/4PL) and contract manufacturers. Lodestone was the global
delivery partner, providing business process / change management experts and technical resources,
assisting in global template development and rollout to the various local organizations.
• A global initiative to manage the supply chain of clinical trials at one of the world’s leading Life Sciences
companies. The solution included all logistics processes from the IMP (investigational medicinal product)
requirements planning along the supply chain, including procurement planning for components, labeling,
subcontracting for packaging, and shipping to depots and investigators.
• A global initiative to transform the quality control functions of one of the leading Life Sciences companies,
in terms of business requirements, processes and IT-systems. The objective of the program was to build
a new global LIMS platform enabled by SAP. Lodestone assisted with global program management,
definition and implementation of best-practice laboratory processes, seamless integration with key supply
chain functions, solution template development, as well as the rollout to various countries worldwide.
To join Lodestone’s Supply Chain and Logistics team, the ideal candidate will have:
• Strong experience in at least one of our key service areas mentioned above;
• Several years of functional expertise in a business supply chain role; and / or
• Several years of management consulting experience with one of the leading consulting firms; and/or
• 3+ years experience implementing SAP business solutions in the areas of ERP, SCM, SRM, SNC, CRM.
